Role SummaryStore Manager In Training (SMIT) is a development‑focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. The 16‑week program includes virtual and hands‑on learning to develop leadership capabilities with support from District Leader, HR Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and Store Manager coach.
Responsibilities- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing to support and lead your team.
- Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service.
- Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth.
- Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability.
- Actively engage with leadership in key learning experiences and promote store objectives aligned with CVS values and policies.
- Support the management team and lead in a manner consistent with the company’s purpose.
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor.
- Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market.
- Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the market.
- Flexible to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs.
- Selection for SMIT does not guarantee promotion; promotion depends on performance and availability of openings.
Pay: $18.50 – $26.25 per hour (typical range; actual offer based on experience, education, geography and other factors).
