Retail Sales Associate

$11.50 to $14.50 per hour

Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $3.07 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

• Vacation:
  Employees are granted one week of paid vacation after completing six months of active, full‑time service; another week after one year; and two weeks on each anniversary thereafter up to five years.
• Personal/Sick time: 8 hours after six months of employment, then 16 hours each anniversary thereafter (up to five years). Adjusted in accordance with state/local requirements.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions across a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies and regulations.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes the assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age: 18 years.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate Point‑of‑Sale systems and common office machines.
