Sales Account Executive – Lamar Advertising

Lamar Advertising is hiring a Sales Account Executive in our Pearl, Mississippi office to bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for brands in Jackson, MS and surrounding areas. The role offers a salary and commission structure with no cap on earnings.

Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports.
  • Target businesses in the assigned area and visit each established Lamar client as well as competitor’s clients within specified time frames.
  • Exhibit working knowledge of local and national competition.
  • Cluster accounts to work them efficiently.
  • Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts.
  • Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals, written presentations, and research.
  • Develop presentation skills and present to clients on a regular basis.
  • Develop new product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Actively participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows.
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining daily, weekly, and monthly sales plans.
  • Follow up on all client production orders and problem‑solve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain organized and up‑to‑date records of clients and sales activity.

  • Ability to make oral presentations and clearly articulate policies and procedures.

Education & Experience
  • Current and valid driver’s license required.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Previous outdoor advertising sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CRM experience preferred.

Additional Information
  • Hybrid schedule:
    Monday‑Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm, with time spent in‑office and in the field.
  • First‑year earning potential of $60,000–$75,000 including commissions, dependent on experience and selling ability.
  • No commission cap; earning potential is unlimited as you grow your book of business.
  • Physical demands include light lifting, reading, standing, talking, turning, and walking; less than 10% of time traveling at night.
  • Work environment: combination of office and field sales calls.
