The Institutional MHAS is a critical role within our customer model, supporting the U.S. commercialization of COBENFY, the first treatment targeting muscarinic receptor circuits for schizophrenia. The Specialist will engage providers and care team members in Community Mental Health Centers, Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers, and Hospitals across multiple states. This field‑based position requires 100% time in the field, building and maintaining professional credibility with regional thought leaders, physicians, hospital administrators, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Portfolio Promotion- Promotes approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed assigned sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Creates demand for BMS medicines by articulating clinical and scientific rationale for use in appropriate patients.
- Maintains and expands scientific expertise on assigned products and therapeutic areas.
- Prepares and implements comprehensive territory and account plans, outlining strategic drivers and tactics.
- Uses available tools to derive insights and inform call plans, providing feedback to leadership.
- Develops relationships with hospital customers in clinical practice, pharmacy, and formulary committees to encourage formulary access.
- Understands access/affordability, reimbursement services, payer/formulary, hospital-based treatment pathways, discharge planning, and multidisciplinary care coordination.
- Demonstrates scientific expertise and presents accurate information to HCPs.
- Conducts in‑office presentations and discusses product‑related scientific information consistent with label.
- Organizes external speaker programs, selecting approved speakers and managing logistics.
- Maintains expertise on emerging data for approved indications.
- Engages medical support in real time to answer complex technical inquiries.
- Collaborates with other field teams to ensure optimal customer experience.
- Gathers and shares relevant insights internally to better serve customers.
- Works with matrix team members to arrange approved promotional programs and hospital initiatives.
- Complies with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies.
- Advanced scientific degree and/or 5+ years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
- Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data effectively to physicians.
- Experience building credibility with community and hospital–based customers.
- Preferred experience in Psychiatry and in Community Mental Health Centers, Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers, and Hospitals.
- Understanding of acute care, hospital systems, and institutional treatment dynamics.
- Experience engaging P&T committee members and knowledge of formulary and reimbursement.
- Strong account management skills and proven sales performance track record.

Field – United States – US: $147,560 – $178,808 (base salary) with potential incentive cash and stock opportunities based on eligibility.
