Sales Associate/Assistant, Retail Sales, Inside Sales, Sales Representative
Pay Range: $70,000–$120,000 per year (base + commission)
Join a growing, family-owned business as our next Salesperson, helping customers find the right storage building, tiny home, play set, or golf cart for their needs. This is a hands-on, on-site sales role in Jackson, MS with strong earning potential, great benefits, and a schedule that gives you real time off.

Shivers Buildings is a family-owned and operated business specializing in the manufacture and sale of portable storage buildings, man caves, she sheds, tiny homes/cabins, play sets, and golf carts. We focus on durable, high-quality products and pride ourselves on craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and strong family values in every customer interaction.
What You'll Do
- Greet and assist customers on the lot and in the showroom, learning their needs and recommending the right products
- Explain product features and options, prepare quotes, and process sales orders
- Coordinate with operations for delivery or installation
- Maintain product displays and follow up with prospective and existing customers
- Track leads and sales activity using basic digital tools or CRM systems
- Support promotional events and uphold our standards of service and integrity
Schedule & Compensation
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday 9am–5pm, Saturday 9am–2pm, with Sundays plus one additional weekday off, just 4.5 working days a week - Compensation:
Base salary plus commission - Benefits:

What We're Looking For
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships
- Sales and negotiation experience, including closing deals and meeting or exceeding targets
- Basic product knowledge or mechanical aptitude, with willingness to learn
- Comfort using point-of-sale systems, simple CRM tools, and email/digital communication
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to work on-site in Jackson, MS, including standing, walking the lot, and light physical tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent beneficial; previous retail, vehicle, or building materials sales experience preferred but not required
