Job Description

L4 Security and Consulting Group, LLC seeks a base Security Guard to provide security services across a variety of sites including federal government, manufacturing, retail, schools, religious institutions, and temporary locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Protect property and lives.

Monitor entrance/egress of property.

Identify visitors and request appropriate documentation.

Guard against theft and maintain security.

Respond to alarms and calls of distress.

Complete accurate daily and incident reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities.

Prevent passage of prohibited vehicles into restricted areas.

Prevent access to unauthorized persons.

Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use.

Regulate and monitor building systems.

Inspect windows and doors to ensure locks are in place and working.

Complete all required security logs.

Communicate effectively with client management, employees, and visitors.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED.
At least 21 years of age and legally possess a firearm.
Must be able to operate a firearm, pass firearms qualification courses, and obtain appropriate licensure (Security Guard Permit – MS Department of Public Safety, Firearm Permit Division).
Maintain professionalism and wear a uniform neatly and correctly.
Provide excellent customer service verbally and in writing.
Be alert and able to manage escalated or crisis/emergency situations.
Ability to multi‑task.
Ability to operate a computer and other security devices.
Must obtain required training and licensure as per client and state.
