Forklift Operator, Down

General Summary

Operations position responsible for stocking received merchandise in the appropriate location, operating and maintaining equipment associated with warehouse activity, and performing other related duties as required.

• Operate electric forklift, moving levers and pressing pedals to drive the truck and control the lift apparatus in cooler, freezer, and dry spaces.
• Unload/load pallets of products using pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Store and remove pallets of products from rack locations.
• Place product in overflow locations.
• Hand‑stack product onto/off of pallets and into packing locations as required.
• Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, removing ice, scrubbing with rags and brushes, and removing trash as needed.
• Transfer leftover items to the Home slot at the end of the shift.
• Clear aisles and pick up leftover pallets at shift end.
• Perform duties of order selector as needed.

• Age 18+
• High school diploma or GED, or at least 6 months related warehouse experience or training.
• At least 6 months of warehouse distribution experience.
• Ability to work nights.

• Previous stand‑up forklift experience.

• Exposed to wet, hot, extreme cold, or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high or precarious places; occasional fumes or airborne particles.
• Noise level is usually loud.
