Responsibilities

  • Checks utility systems such as water and steam piping system for leaks or other problems such as waterlogged steam traps. Lubricate, grease oil & perform filter changes plus labeling of all lubrication points.
  • Performs periodic inspections on HVAC systems:troubleshoots and locates malfunctions,diagnoses problems, and performs appropriate repairs.
  • Adjusts,repairs,orreplacesthermostats,relays,switches,and airconditioningsystems electrical wiring.
  • Repairsorreplacesrefrigerationcompressorsandcomponents,electric motors,fans,belts,and pulleys andHVACcontrol air compressors.
  • Services and repairs evaporators, condensers, and receivers. Repacks valves, lubricates moving parts,replaces filters, and cleans coils.
  • Repairscomponentswithin asystemto

    Include transformers, motors, electrodes, solenoids rheostats, and aquastats.
  • Utilizesandinterpretstechnicalmanuals,shop directives,blueprints,sketches, diagrams, and specifications, verbal and written

    Instructions.
  • Responsible for completing dailywork order log documenting inspections, maintenance andrepair information,toincludeworkperformed,materials used and hours worked oneachassigned work order.
  • Complies with state, local, Federal and project safety requirements.
  • Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by duties.
  • Performsotherrelated duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Validstatedriver'slicense.
  • Minimum Three(3) years ofexperienceinheating, ventilation,air-conditioning and refrigeration includingpreventativemaintenanceoperations.
  • EPA Universal Certification 608 Certification, EPA Type I and Type II Refrigerant Card.
Desired Qualifications
  • Basic understanding of automatic control monitoring systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing chillers and boilers.
