Knowledge of electricity, wiring methods, and electrical maintenance
Five years electrical work experience
Maintain operational residence telephone
Ability to climb and work from ladders and scaffolds
Valid Mississippi motor vehicle operator's license
Must be insurable by district insurance carrier
Pass drug and background test as outlined by district policy
Reports ToElectrical Supervisor
Essential FunctionsReads blueprints and schematic diagrams
Troubleshoots and repairs complicated electrical and electronic equipment and wiring systems
Installs electrical conduit and wiring
Designs and installs electrical systems and equipment
Performs preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
Fabricates and installs various metal components such as fan guards, equipment containers, mounting brackets, panel covers, etc.
Prepares estimates of time and materials for construction projects
Keeps record of work and materials used
Exercises proper safety precautions during performance of daily job assignments
Secures keys, materials, equipment, tools, and supplies carried on work vehicle
Works overtime as necessary for emergency work and special job assignments
Assists members of the department and members of other departments when needed
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned

Beginning Salary - $21.50
