Electrical Field Service Technician NETA II / III / IV | NICET EPT | or Equivalent Field Experience
OVERVIEWThis client, a nationally recognized leader in electrical power services, is seeking Field Service Technicians (Level II–IV) to support acceptance and maintenance testing of medium- and high‑voltage equipment across utility, industrial, and data center environments. This is a field‑based role for technically skilled professionals who take pride in quality workmanship, operate with a safety‑first mindset, and are ready to contribute to a high‑utilization team with a deep project pipeline.
Placement title and compensation are commensurate with certification level and field experience.
- Perform acceptance and maintenance testing per NETA standards on medium- and high‑voltage equipment
- Test and troubleshoot switch gear (LV/MV)
- Test and troubleshoot protective relays and protection systems
- Execute LOTO and safety procedures in compliance with NFPA 70E
- Conduct arc‑flash and shock hazard evaluations as required
- Analyze test results and identify deficiencies
- Generate detailed field service logs and documentation
- Provide timely updates to management and clients on findings and project status
- Support or lead field crews depending on experience and certification level
- Mentor junior technicians and trainees as applicable
- Level II:
Executes testing under supervision; building technical foundation - Level III:
Leads small crews, owns portions of projects independently - Level IV: SME / Lead Tech — client‑facing, full project ownership, mentors junior staff
- 2–8+ years of electrical testing experience (range is level dependent)
- Strong understanding of power distribution systems
- Familiarity with NETA standards and NFPA 70E
- Ability to travel up to 50 %
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
