The position is for candidates based in Big Spring or Garden City, Texas, or who are willing to relocate. Experience preferred in mechanics working on field and plant equipment such as compressors, internal combustion, diesel, natural gas‑powered motors, cooling equipment, pumps, treating systems, valves, and turbines.

Preferred location is Big Spring or Garden City, Texas, or willing to relocate. Travel to other locations required; driving may be required with an assigned company vehicle.

• Perform mechanical work on fixed and rotating equipment at various locations, including internal combustion, diesel, natural gas‑powered engines, compressors, pumps, generators, turbines, valves, electrical equipment, and well equipment.
• Service, troubleshoot, maintain, install, and repair structural, mechanical, electrical, and/or well equipment.
• Conduct performance analyses, including emissions testing.
• Order and/or secure parts and supplies.
• Maintain, prepare, and interpret reports and records, such as work logs, service orders, inspection reports, engine/equipment maintenance and repair records, pressure readings, material and supply orders, and engine and compressor oil analysis reports.
• Drive and ensure maintenance is complete on company vehicles.
• Perform Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
• Remain alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, preventing injury or property damage.

• Experience in use and function of hand and power tools and equipment applicable to the position.
• Experience servicing, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
• Experience relative to company and/or governmental operating and safety policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of ordering and securing parts and supplies.
• Knowledge of reading and interpreting work and repair orders, drawings, charts, diagrams, dials, gauges, warranties, quotations, procedures, and equipment manuals.
• Ability to apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information and instructions.
• Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
• Ability to work in confined areas.
• Ability to perform precise tuning and timing work.
• Ability to use fine motor skills for making minute adjustments.

Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently; may also involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, and talking with varying frequency as described in the original demand details. Physical demands exceed Light Work standards.

Employee may work inside and outside environmental conditions, well‑lit, climate‑controlled areas, occasionally outdoors, in wet or humid conditions, extreme cold or heat, dust, fumes, gases, moving mechanical parts, potential electric shock, prolonged vibration, high‑pitched or loud noises, unprotected heights, frequent repetitive motion, and use of a computer monitor.
