Maintenance Engineer

PRIMARY PURPOSE

It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair all equipment to assist in the daily operations and activities that they have been assigned, and to provide administrative and technical support as directed by department management.

• Assist in all general maintenance services, projects, and repairs as determined by management.
• Provide administrative, dispatch, and technical support as directed by management.
• Maintain casino, lighting, hotel rooms, hotel corridors, and all back‑of‑house and front‑of‑house areas.
• Repair plumbing and associated equipment, including toilet replacement, leaks in piping, faucets, and stopped drains.
• Assist with repairs to air handlers, vent hoods, and kitchen equipment.
• Perform repairs and refresh all building surfaces (interior and exterior).
• Assist with hanging banners as required, utilizing various equipment, lifts, etc.
• Organize and inventory storage and electrical rooms.
• Assist departments in moving or assembling office equipment and furniture.
• Maintain water treatment of pool and spa.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year of general and preventative maintenance experience.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

• Valid state‑issued driver’s license.

• Ability to work from blueprints and interpret manufacturer’s guidelines for operation and maintenance of related equipment.
• Knowledgeable of hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of air conditioning, electrical systems, plumbing, carpet, tile, flooring, and soldering.
• Basic knowledge of wall repair and painting.
• Equipment troubleshooting skills.

Work may require strenuous physical activity and exposure to pipe, cigar, and/or cigarette smoke. An ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays, may also be required.
