Starting Pay $20.05/hr attendance incentive offered.

Hours:

Monday–Friday 6:00am to 2:00pm. 1ST SHIFT (United States of America).

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The role may work in any department of the feed mill.

The person will use hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment such as saws, sheet metal shears, drills, grinders, and ladders as needed.

• Standing, walking, bending, stretching, twisting, climbing, pushing and pulling up to 300lb buggies, and reaching are required in all areas.
• Lifting is required in many areas (weight depends upon area).
• Working on elevated surfaces is required in some areas.
• Working in dusty, cold, damp, hot and humid environments with slippery walking surfaces.
• Must be able to obtain powered industrial truck certification (PIT).

• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to enter data into handheld computer system.
• Ability to fabricate by welding and cutting.
• Must be able to read and write to follow Tyson preventive maintenance program.
• Must possess basic communication skills (oral and written).

• Six (6) months operator experience with one employer in the previous 12months.
• Three to five years related experience with at least three years in an industrial setting.
• High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical or Vocational Diploma preferred) or combination of equivalent experience and education in a related field.
• Must reside in a 30‑mile radius of the facility.
• Must be able to work alongside contractors to ensure equipment is properly utilized.
