Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Hourly Range: $20 USD to $28 USD
Material Handler (2nd Shift) – Jackson, MS facilityO'Neal Steel has openings for a Material Handler (2nd Shift) at our Jackson, MS facility. The Material Handler will load and unload material within a warehouse, utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, overhead cranes, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks or trains and within the storage facility. They possess knowledge of commonly used practices and procedures, relying on instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform their duties.
Primary job functions typically do not require exercising independent judgment.
- Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment, including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
- Use a variety of hand tools, including grinder, bander, drill, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, etc.
- Accurately read a tape measure.
- Provide high‑quality work to all internal and external customers related to the output of the position.
Must be able to work 2nd Shift (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM) Monday – Friday. Overtime will be required as needed.
