Role Description The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Jackson, MS. This role is responsible for performing routine and corrective maintenance on restaurant equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment issues, completing scheduled preventive maintenance, and conducting repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components as needed. The Maintenance Technician will respond to service requests, document work performed, coordinate with restaurant leadership to minimize downtime, and follow safety and regulatory guidelines.
The role also involves maintaining tools and parts inventory, identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability, and supporting multiple restaurant locations within the region.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in equipment maintenance and industrial maintenance, with experience working in food service or similar commercial environments.
- Demonstrated abilities in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to identify issues early and reduce equipment failures.
- Proficiency in general maintenance and repair tasks, including basic mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders, and to document maintenance activities clearly.
- Knowledge of safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures and adherence to relevant codes and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to support multiple locations in the Jackson, MS area.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance, HVAC, electrical, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
