You start your morning in a well-stocked service vehicle, route set, tools ready. Your mission: keep Chick-fil-A kitchens and building systems operating flawlessly. From a sealed refrigeration diagnosis to hot-side calibration, you thrive on solving problems in the field — independently, yet fully backed by Colliers’ technical resources, OEM partners, and a best-in-class service network.
What you’ll do Diagnose, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen equipment with precision and care.
Service commercial cooking equipment, sealed refrigeration systems, specialty food service devices, and base building HVAC systems.
Respond to Operator requests within established SLAs to minimize downtime and protect food safety.
Work hands-on with brands such as Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, and Garland grills.
Collaborate with manufacturers for advanced diagnostics and parts identification; install ordered parts accurately and professionally.
Consult with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while onsite to resolve complex issues.
Document work thoroughly — work orders, time entries, receipts, and truck stock — using mobile service applications.
Keep your service vehicle, tools, and inventory organized and ready.
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency response during non-standard hours.
Follow safe work practices and accident-prevention procedures at all times.
Pursue continuous OEM training and certifications; engage with equipment partners, suppliers, and vendors.
Meet or exceed productivity targets aligned with company standards.
What you bring
Technical trade school training and/or substantial hands-on field experience; 5+ years related trade experience (or equivalent).Background in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC systems, electrical systems, mechanical systems, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment, or mechanical power transmission.
Experience servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems.
EPA Universal Certification.
Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a safe driving record (MVR required); able to operate company vehicles safely.
Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to read schematics/diagrams and troubleshoot efficiently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service apps; clear written and verbal communication.
Self-starter who works independently with a positive, service-first attitude.
Travel and schedule
100% travel within a defined local territory (field-based role).Limited overnight travel, primarily for onboarding and training.
Physical demands
Work extended periods during emergencies or priority situations (including overtime).Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (ladder safety training provided). Roof access ladders are on-site; loading/unloading a large ladder from the van is not typical.
Frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Extended standing and walking on even and uneven surfaces.
Frequent use of arms, wrists, and hands to operate tools and machinery.
Work indoors and outdoors in variable weather.
