EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES--Essential and duties responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by scraping, brushing, scrubbing, washing, patching and priming.

Finish interior and exterior surfaces with proper interior and exterior water and oil-based paints.

Mud and float sheet rock walls; sand and glaze windows; water seal buildings and concrete floors.

Layout and paint swimming pools, parking lots, curbs and related municipal area; paint signs and details.

Install wall covering and wallpaper; refinish furniture.

Maintain storage of supplies and equipment according to safe practices.

OTHER IMPORTANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May work evenings and weekends in emergency situations.

May assist in a variety of other building maintenance activities including electrical,

carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience and Training Guidelines

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

Experience:

One year of journey level painting experience.

Training:

Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by additional training in the painting trade.

License or Certificate:

Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid driver's license.
