Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Essential and duties responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Prepare interior and exterior surfaces by scraping, brushing, scrubbing, washing, patching and priming.
- Finish interior and exterior surfaces with proper interior and exterior water and oil-based paints.
- Mud and float sheet rock walls; sand and glaze windows; water seal buildings and concrete floors.
Layout and paint swimming pools, parking lots, curbs and related municipal area; paint signs and details.
Install wall covering and wallpaper; refinish furniture.
Maintain storage of supplies and equipment according to safe practices.
Other Important Duties and Responsibilities- May work evenings and weekends in emergency situations.
- May assist in a variety of other building maintenance activities including electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and plumbing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- Experience: One year of journey level painting experience.
- Training: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by additional training in the painting trade.
- License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid" driver's license.
