Cable Technician II

Location

Rayville, LA

• $22/hr - $25/hr
• Free lodging provided
• $350/week Per Diem for food
• Paid drive time to travel into Rayville, LA

Contract to Hire, based out of Jackson, MS.

• Layout and install wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles and other devices.
• Build closets: mount and install backboards, cross connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic and hardware.
• Install grounding for racks, equipment and cable as required.
• Complete all IDC connections (e.g., terminate 110/66 blocks and patch panels).
• Work inside and outside the data center.
• Pull wire and/or oversee and direct conduit installations and wire pulling.
• Operate tools/equipment requiring two hands (e.g., cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers).

• Cable, Cabling, Cat6, Rack and stack, Punchdown, Cat5, Cable installation, Structured cabling

• Network equipment experience
• Fiber knowledge
• Fiber troubleshooting
