Class B Diesel Mechanic Technician

Performance Food Group is seeking a Diesel Mechanic Technician to maintain and repair our tractor-trailers and refrigerated delivery fleet supporting Food & Beverage operations. In this Automotive role, you'll perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and emergency repairs to ensure safe, on-time deliveries to our customers. You'll work with modern diagnostic tools, maintain accurate repair records, and collaborate closely with drivers and operations.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and safety inspections
• Conduct DOT-compliant inspections and documentation
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Respond to road calls and perform emergency roadside repairs
• Maintain accurate work orders and repair records
• Collaborate with drivers and dispatch to prioritize repairs
• Ensure shop, tools, and equipment are safe and well-maintained
• Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies
• Support continuous improvement in fleet reliability and uptime
