Structural Welder – 2G/3G/4G Flux & Stick | Tarpon Specialty Services | Greenville, MS Position Overview

Tarpon Specialty Services is hiring experienced Structural Welders for an active industrial construction project in Greenville, Mississippi. We are recruiting from the Jackson metro area — if you're a qualified welder willing to work in Greenville, we want to talk. Per diem is available for qualifying out-of-area workers. This is a serious project with immediate openings — not a pipeline posting.

• Perform structural welding in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions using FCAW and SMAW processes
• Execute fit-up, tacking, and welding of structural connections per project specifications and applicable codes
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld procedure specifications (WPS)
• Inspect welds for conformance to specification; maintain required documentation
• Coordinate with foremen, ironworkers, and other trades on site
• Follow all site safety protocols, OSHA standards, and company safety policies at all times

• Qualified or able to qualify in 2G, 3G, and 4G positions — FCAW and SMAW required
• 3+ years of structural welding experience in industrial or heavy construction environments
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld procedure specifications
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred; site safety orientation required
• Valid government‑issued photo  reliable transportation to the Greenville, MS job site
• Must pass pre‑employment drug screening — drug‑free workplace

• Current weld certifications in 2G, 3G, and/or 4G — FCAW and SMAW
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) credential
• Prior experience on power, industrial, or energy construction projects
• Mississippi field experience a plus — familiarity with Delta‑region work conditions preferred

• Competitive hourly wages commensurate with experience and weld certifications
• Per diem available for skilled workers — Jackson‑area candidates encouraged to ask about eligibility

• Project‑based contract with potential for extended assignment based on performance

Work location: Greenville, MS (Washington County) — on‑site position. Per diem available for qualifying candidates.
