Position/Role: Hotel Maintenance Technician
Location: Hampton Inn & Suites, Jackson, MS
Pay Range: Starting at $18 per hour (Compensation commensurate with qualifications and experience)

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing hands-on maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.

You will help ensure guest rooms, public areas, equipment, building systems, and exterior spaces are maintained properly and operating safely and efficiently.

From a comfortable guest room to properly functioning hotel equipment, your technical skills directly contribute to a positive guest experience. Your ability to identify problems, complete repairs, and prevent future issues will help keep the hotel operating at its best.

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems
  .
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and exterior spaces.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, lighting, appliances, and hotel equipment.
• Complete maintenance work orders accurately and efficiently.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections and tasks.
• Assist with maintaining HVAC systems, water systems, laundry equipment, and other hotel equipment.
• Identify recurring maintenance issues and communicate concerns to Engineering leadership.
• Assist with emergency repairs and urgent maintenance situations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Assist with property improvement projects, renovations, inspections, and vendor projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
• Follow all Hilton brand standards, safety procedures, and company policies
  .
• Provide professional and courteous service to guests and team members.

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, facilities, building maintenance, construction, or a related technical field preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
• Ability to diagnose basic maintenance issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Reliable, dependable, and willing to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance requests and priorities.
• Ability to work independently while supporting the Engineering team.
• Hilton or hotel maintenance experience is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
