Job Summary

Job Title: Java ESB Senior Developer

End Client: State of Mississippi

Location: Jackson, MS 39211 (Onsite)

Position Type: Contract

Hours Per Week: 40

Duration: 3+ Years

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Plan, design, and integrate ESB systems using JBoss Fuse.
• Develop REST and SOAP web services with a focus on API development, microservices, event‑driven architecture, and API gateways.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and formulate business requirements.
• Define and implement technical solutions and participate in issue resolution and process refinement.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
• Utilize Spring Framework components including Dependency Injection, IOC, SOLID principles, and Spring Boot.
• Support enterprise integration and SOA orchestration initiatives.
• Participate in Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or XP.
• Work within Unix/Linux operating environments as required.

• 10+ years of experience in Java development using Java 8+ JDK and strong object‑oriented design.
• Advanced experience designing, implementing, and enhancing large‑scale enterprise applications using Java.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE).
• Advanced proficiency in REST and SOAP web services development.
• Strong experience writing SQL queries and managing database interactions.
• Experience with Spring Framework, including Dependency Injection, SOLID principles, and Spring Boot.
• Experience with API development, API gateways, microservices, pub/sub, and event‑driven architecture.
• Experience working with stakeholders to gather, define, and formulate business requirements.
• Ability to define and implement technical direction, issue resolution, and process improvements.
• Strong experience with ESB/SOA orchestration, queue management, prioritization, and APIs using Java and JEE technologies.
• Experience with JBoss Fuse integration and enterprise service bus architecture.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, and XP.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with SQL Server is preferred.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies is preferred.
• Background in SOA, EJB, Web Logic, Web Sphere, JBOSS, and Fuse is preferred.
