Location -- Remote
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with deep expertise in SAP BTP ABAP Environment and RAP (RESTful Application Programming Model). This is a hands on consulting role focused on delivering high quality, scalable solutions in a fast paced project environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of complex solutions using ABAP OO, CDS, AMDP, and RAP.
Build and enhance applications on SAP BTP ABAP Environment, including cloud ready extensions.
Develop RAP business objects, behavior definitions, service bindings, and OData services.
Collaborate with architects and functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and best practice guidance to junior developers.
Optimize performance of ABAP code, CDS views, and RAP artifacts.
Integrate SAP systems with external services using BTP capabilities (APIs, destinations, eventing).
Support deployment activities using ADT, Git-enabled CTS, and modern Dev Ops practices.
Troubleshoot complex issues across ABAP, RAP, and BTP layers.
Strong hands on experience with:
o RAP (managed & unmanaged scenarios)
o SAP BTP ABAP Environment
o CDS views, annotations, and OData V2/V4
o Fiori Elements and UI integration with RAP
Deep understanding of S/4
HANA extensibility, clean core principles, and cloud development patterns.
Proficiency with Eclipse/ADT, Git, and modern ABAP tooling.
Experience working in agile project environments.
