Fastemps is seeking a skilled and experienced CDL Driver to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid CDL, a strong commitment to safety, and a proven track record of reliable driving. This position involves operating a semi‑truck for local deliveries, ensuring timely and safe transport of materials within the state of Michigan.

• Local Deliveries: Operate a semi‑truck for local deliveries, adhering to scheduled routes and time frames.
• Safety Protocols: Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, taking precautions to secure cargo and maintain vehicle safety.
• Log Maintenance: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents that occur during transport.
• Regulatory Compliance: Comply with all state and federal transportation regulations, including weight limits, safety checks, and documentation requirements.
• Professional Conduct: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while representing the company to clients and the public.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Shipping Procedures: Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, work tickets, or orders, to verify the accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments.
• Record Keeping: Record shipment data, including trip mileage, trip hours, weight over axles, space availability, and any damages or discrepancies for reporting purposes.
• DOT Regulations: Determine shipping procedures in accordance with DOT rules and regulations, including weight over axles.
• Problem Resolution: Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify issues such as damages, shortages, and non‑conformance to specifications.
• Forklift Proficiency: Utilize forklift proficiency to assist with in‑house loading and unloading. Moving customer parts to and from the offsite warehouse may also be required.
• Truck Maintenance: Keep the exterior of the truck clean and ensure the interior (cab and trailer) is free of debris, garbage, and spills.

• License: Valid CDL license with a clean driving record.
• Experience: Minimum of [insert years of experience] years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Availability: Ability to work 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physical tasks as needed.

• Hourly pay, commensurate with experience.

• This position requires no overnight loads, with driving primarily within the state of Michigan.

• May perform other duties as assigned, including maintaining the cleanliness of the truck and ensuring proper oil absorbent application if needed.

• Regularly required to talk or hear.
• Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in this environment is usually moderate.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Truck Driver Training and valid CDL license.
• Air Brake Experience.
• Three years of related experience.
• Ability to exchange non‑routine information using tact and persuasion.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
