Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee the transportation and logistics department's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met.
• Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
• Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable transportation services.
• Monitor transportation and logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Conduct regular audits of transportation and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Provide timely and accurate reports on transportation and logistics activities to management.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation and logistics operations.

• A bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics management is required.
• Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations and compliance.
• Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Certification in transportation and logistics, such as Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) is preferred.
• Experience with transportation management software (TMS) is preferred.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
