Job Summary
Manages and maintains software replenishment systems. Work collaboratively with staff to assure department expectations are achieved while optimizing inventory and par levels. Performs stocking, distribution of all incoming supplies and equipment, and manages inventory.
Education and Experience Required- High School diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in stocking, loading, replenishing, or distributing inventory.
- Hospital supply work experience.
- Computer skills and the ability to work with related software programs; proficient with Microsoft tools and spreadsheets/databases.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, stocking, equipment, and inventory management methods and procedures.
- Ability to review inventory utilization analysis reports.
- Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to work in a team environment and interact with staff and upper-level management.
- Audit and manage the replenishment system and resolve related issues.
- Operate all replenishment system software and programs in accordance with institutional and department policies.
- Facilitate the physical set‑up of the area, including scales, controllers, down loaders, probes, shelf registration, mobile cart, and computers.
- Monitor and report expired or improperly rotated stock; seek resolution and ensure TIC compliance for stock storage.
- Stock, maintain, and control inventory for assigned areas per department policy and procedures; deliver and verify incoming shipments.
- Order required supplies for assigned areas according to department policies.
- Place purchase requisitions for special order stock items as required.
- Act as shift team lead, assigning work responsibilities and following up on task completion when supervisor is absent.
- Open, pick, close, and distribute internal orders in line with departmental policy.
- Adhere to hospital standards relative to internal policies, OSHA, TIC, and departmental procedures.
- Assist with changes in the automated inventory system, adding and removing items from par locations, and adjusting par levels.
- Create and submit daily system tracking report for all changes.
Requires occasional exposure to high noise levels, heat and cold, potentially dangerous equipment, biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood-borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. Attention to safety considerations is mandatory.
