Quality Inspector

Summary

The Quality Assurance Inspector aids in ensuring high quality and efficiency in daily work operations, while maintaining safety regulations and requirements. The inspector performs visual inspections of inbound purchased parts, raw materials, in-process assemblies, final inspection, and product conformity at predetermined areas throughout the facility.

• Accurately inspects and documents results of visual testing.
• Identifies, communicates, and records defects.
• Verifies repairs and re‑work have been completed and meet quality standards.
• Reviews in‑process documentation for accuracy and completion.
• Monitors area of responsibility for parts identification, measuring and test gauge control, and correct lot information for in‑process assemblies.
• Works with outside inspectors as needed.

• Ability to keep accurate records in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to accurately complete and document visual inspection.
• Ability to follow written procedures.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to obtain NDT Certification within first year of employment.

• 1+ years manufacturing experience.
• 1+ years experience in quality assurance, welding, or coatings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Smart Sheet.

Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions (heat/cold, wet/humid, dry/arid, and dusty). Personal protective equipment is required as dictated by the environment.
