Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Claims Assistant for a contract opportunity in Jackson, NJ. This role is a strong fit for a college graduate or early-career professional who is interested in building hands‑on experience in healthcare administration, medical records, claims, denials, and appeals.
The Claims Assistant will support a busy healthcare claims department by pulling and organizing medical records, maintaining accurate tracking spreadsheets, logging claims and appeals activity, and preparing documentation for review and submission. This position offers a supportive team environment, clear department processes, and the opportunity to learn from experienced claims professionals.

Key Responsibilities- Pull medical records from Net Health, SharePoint, and other designated systems for claims and appeals review.
- Organize medical records according to department checklists and prepare files for reviewer evaluation.
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets to track requests, submissions, denials, appeals, and related claim activity.
- Log facility requests for claims and appeals according to department standards and manager instructions.
- Submit records online or by physical mail as required, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Communicate professionally with facilities and internal team members regarding record requests and status updates.
- Pay rate: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour.
