The facility serves as a major center for comprehensive health services for residents of Central New Jersey. It operates as a Catholic teaching medical center featuring a specialized Behavioral Health Unit dedicated to pediatric and adolescent psychiatric care.

The psychiatrist will provide comprehensive psychiatric care for patients ages 6-17 in a dedicated inpatient behavioral health unit. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing treatment plans, and managing medications for acute and intermediate psychiatric conditions. The role involves treating a census of 25-30 patients with 13 acute beds requiring daily documentation and intermediate beds requiring 3 notes per week. The position operates during day shift hours with no call requirements, allowing for focused patient care and treatment planning.
