The Township is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time Assistant Zoning Officer position. The successful candidate will assist with the administration and enforcement of the Township’s zoning regulations, including reviewing plans, conducting inspections, assisting residents and applicants, maintaining records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable zoning ordinances. Qualified candidates should have two (2) years of experience in the preparation and revision of building construction plans and specifications or inspection/enforcement of zoning and/or construction regulations, possession of a valid a zoning official certification is required, knowledge of zoning ordinances, land use regulations, and applicable laws, ability to communicate effectively with residents, contractors, professionals, and Township staff, strong organizational, recordkeeping, and customer service skills, valid New Jersey Driver’s License required.
Salary range: $58,516.00 to $93,748.00. The Township is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
