As a Plant Accountant at our Jackson Center, OH, location, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations. You will support key accounting functions while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and financial performance.
What You'll Do- Support the full general ledger process, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Record, classify, and post day-to-day financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail
- Oversee monthly physical inventory and valuation processes, ensuring alignment with the perpetual inventory system
- Analyze bills of materials (BOM) to ensure costing accuracy and proper item coding
- Manage accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and working capital performance
- Conduct financial analysis to identify risks and negative impacts to the P&L, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- At least 3 years of general accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
