Role OverviewWe are seeking a high-caliber Intellectual Property Patent Associate to join a full‑service IP boutique. This role is designed for a professional who thrives on the intersection of law and innovation, offering the opportunity to assume significant responsibility from day one. You will work within a firm recognized for its global reach and proactive approach to safeguarding international intellectual property assets.
Key Responsibilities- Patent Drafting & Prosecution:
Lead the end‑to‑end process of drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO. - Strategic Guidance:
Partner directly with engineers and inventors to translate complex technical innovations into robust, commercially viable IP strategies. - Portfolio Management:
Provide expert counsel on the protection and maximization of IP assets, managing client relationships through every stage of the lifecycle. - Litigation Support:
Assist in issue‑driven litigation strategies and the management of IP disputes when necessary.
- Experience:
2‑5 years of dedicated experience in patent drafting and prosecution. - Technical Background:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is required. - Bar Admissions:
Must be Registered to Practice before the USPTO. - Must be admitted to at least one State Bar.
- Skills:
Exceptional drafting precision and attention to detail. - Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- Ability to communicate complex technical and legal concepts to diverse stakeholders.
