Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

: $65,000-$80,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead and oversee daily service operations for a heavy equipment service department. This role is responsible for managing technicians, driving productivity and profitability, maintaining strong customer relationships, overseeing work orders and billing, and ensuring efficient scheduling and workflow. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in heavy equipment repair and proven leadership experience within a service environment.

• Manage daily operations of the service department, including technician scheduling and workload planning.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
• Monitor service department productivity, work-in-process, billing cycle efficiency, and profitability.
• Review, open, close, and oversee work orders to ensure timely completion and accurate invoicing.
• Prepare repair estimates, review service documentation, and resolve customer invoicing concerns.
• Support technicians with troubleshooting and diagnosing complex equipment issues.
• Coordinate warranty claims and maintain accurate service and quality control records.
• Conduct employee performance evaluations and support technician development and training.
• Lead safety initiatives, conduct regular safety meetings, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and technical support teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Maintain department tools, equipment, inventory, and operational standards.

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, trucking, diesel, or industrial equipment service operations.
• Previous leadership experience managing technicians, service personnel, or shop operations.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment repair, diagnostics, maintenance, and service processes.
• Experience managing work orders, repair estimates, invoicing, and service department financial performance.
  
  Ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and develop employees.
• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management software.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license required.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree, certificate, or equivalent industry experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a Service Manager, Shop Manager, Service Supervisor, or similar leadership role strongly preferred.
