Position Summary
Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates touring stores, and providing feedback. Manage store operations, collaborate with all levels of associates, and implement technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduce and lead company change efforts, set clear expectations, and guide teams to implement business solutions. Communicate objectives effectively to teams.
What You'll DoModel and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manage and support customer service initiatives—such as store community outreach—to resolve complaints and issues. Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and lead process improvements for a high-quality customer experience. Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing Profit & Loss statements, managing budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals. Provide supervision and development for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing achievements, and promoting a belonging mindset. Foster recruitment and development of qualified associates. Coordinate job-related activities, build relationships with stakeholders, support initiatives, and build accountability.
Ensure compliance with policies, support company mission and values, and promote integrity and ethical behavior. Embrace diversity, build strong relationships, and create an inclusive workplace. Retain top talent, empower and recognize contributions, and act with humility, honesty, and transparency. Serve customers and members first, use data insights to make decisions, balance priorities, and plan for stakeholders. The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00 - $. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include:
- Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location
- Complex Structure for external factors creating challenges
- Two years of college experience
** OR
* * one year’s retail experience plus one year’s supervisory experience
** OR
* * two years of general work experience plus one year’s supervisory experience. - For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Associates must attend and complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy training, Open Door training).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership from Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising five or more direct reports with responsibilities for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
