The purpose of this classification is to provide direct support to the admin staff of the KCECD by helping to oversee the day-to-day functions, collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure timely completion of key HR and Payroll functions, and support other HR initiatives.
Essential FunctionsThe Admin Coordinator is responsible for the following essential functions:
- Coordinate and submit bi-weekly timecards to Knox County Finance, including leave requests, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Partner with Knox County HR/Benefits to coordinate proper tracking of protected leave, workers’ comp claims and various required documentation.
- Partner with Knox County HR to monitor/coordinate all onboarding and offboarding paperwork; maintain accurate information in the HRIS and ERP systems.
- Maintain attendance records, time off requests, leave requests and hours worked, ensuring accuracy.
- Provide guidance and expertise to staff in resolving problems or concerns.
- Complete and process requisitions, partnering with procurement.
- Act as back-up to process deposits and reimbursements, AP, AR functions.
- Complete requests for payment forms, maintain file of same, keeps running totals of appropriation and encumbrances.
- Ensure regular, punctual attendance during scheduled work hours.
- Perform other duties as required.

- Minimum of three years’ related experience in HR, Finance or related field
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered for employment into the position.

- Very proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite of products
- Ability to focus and demonstrate attention to detail
