Job Summary:
Under general supervision, perform professional administrative work of considerable difficulty in a professional manner as required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education equivalent to graduation from High School and training or experience equivalent to two years of customer service and/or clerical office work.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Applicants must be comfortable working with attorneys, judges and the general public. Therefore, experience in the court system is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Position may include work in both of the Clerk and Master’s Offices as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Clerk and Master.
- Hours of operation in the Chancery Court are 8:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
- Hours of operation in the Probate Court Office are 8:30 A.M. until 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.
- Some lifting will be required from time to time to situate and organize filing cabinets, retrieve files from storage facility, rearrange equipment, etc.
