Compliance and Enterprise Risk Manager

Introduction to SK On Tennessee: SK On Tennessee is the newest North American entity of SK On, a global leading battery and trading company committed to technological innovation for a better, sustainable future. Located in Stanton, Tennessee, it was established in 2026 as a stand‑alone company, previously a joint‑venture with Blue Oval SK. The 4‑million‑square‑foot facility is state‑of‑the‑art, climate‑controlled, highly automated, and includes clean‑room conditions.

Production is projected to begin in 2028, supporting the company’s next‑generation electric batteries.

Assist the General Counsel in managing the company’s Compliance & Ethics Program, including development and continuous improvement.

Work cross‑functionally with internal controls and functional leaders to develop, implement, and assess corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and inquiries/investigations.

Assist in developing and deploying a training strategy for legal compliance policies and external regulatory rules; oversee online learning platforms and maintain internal training materials.

Perform compliance due diligence on third parties, suppliers, vendors, and other companies as required.

Manage the company’s Compliance & Ethics Program (CEP); oversee the confidential compliance concern reporting system; monitor and investigate internal compliance issues and external inquiries; plan and implement the rollout of compliance and ethics programs; pursue continuous improvement.

Assist in developing enterprise‑wide risk policies and strategies; implement risk programs; conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities; establish risk tolerance levels and mitigation plans.

Develop and maintain a robust reporting system to communicate risk profiles and mitigation strategies to key stakeholders; prepare regular reports for senior leadership highlighting key risk indicators and the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.

Collaborate with IT, legal, finance, HR, and operations to ensure a holistic approach to compliance and risk management; promote a compliance‑based and risk‑aware culture through communication and awareness.

Participate in projects related to the department’s goals; assist the General Counsel in legal operations, legal research, and support of overall department objectives.

• Bachelor’s degree
• Ten or more years of related experience
• Paralegal certification
• Experience working in a fast‑paced environment and willingness to adapt to change day‑to‑day

• Five years of paralegal experience and compliance expertise
• Experience working in a manufacturing organization
