Responsibilities
Brasfield & Gorrie has exciting opportunities in multiple locations for upcoming graduates interested in full-time employment in the construction industry as an Assistant Field Manager on our growing heavy civil project teams. We are looking for candidates interested in the road / bridge, water / wastewater, & power / process market sectors and want to work with a driven team on large scale projects throughout the southeast.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Assists Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent in administrative, compliance, procurement, building, and reporting responsibilities, as assigned
- Reviews and interprets shop drawings
- Reviews submittals and expedites materials
- Monitors production rates and schedules
- Supervises subcontractors and monitors work performance, progress, and productivity
- Supports and/or supervises work crews from excavation through punch list
- Follows company policies and procedures and assists with OSHA compliance and on-site safety enforcement
- Assists with reporting obligations
- Must be an upcoming graduate of an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in construction, engineering, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Building Science, Construction Management, or a related field preferred. Alternatively, a satisfactory combination of relevant military training and/or experience in construction-related fields will be considered.

- Superior organizational skills
