Safety Coordinator

About the Role

Jabezco Industrial Group is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support and promote a strong safety culture across our industrial and construction operations. This role is responsible for assisting with the implementation of safety programs, conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting employees and project teams in maintaining a safe work environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about workplace safety with the ability to collaborate with field teams, management, subcontractors, and clients.

As a Safety Coordinator, you will:

• Support the development, implementation, and enforcement of company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, safety audits, and observations to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Assist with safety training, orientations, toolbox talks, and employee safety programs.
• Maintain safety records, reports, incident documentation, and compliance paperwork.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while assisting with corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, company standards, and project safety requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and field personnel to address safety issues.
• Review job hazard analyses (JHAs), safety plans, and required project documentation.
• Assist with maintaining safety certifications, training records, and regulatory requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout all company operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in safety, construction, environmental health, or related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in construction, industrial safety, or a related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Experience conducting safety inspections and preparing safety reports.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with field teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification.
• OSHA 500 certification.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Safety Management certification.
• Experience with industrial construction, manufacturing, utilities, or mechanical projects.
• Knowledge of incident investigation and safety management systems.

• Full-time, on-site position.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to job sites.
