Teller, Customer Service​/HelpDesk

Job Responsibilities

Perform routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, cashier's checks, and money orders.

Assist members in opening new accounts and verifying the information provided with outside services, as required, and understand eligibility requirements for membership.

Possess basic math and computer skills.

Navigate Microsoft Office applications and the Episys Core System.

Post routine transactions to the computer system without assistance, recognizing authorized transaction conductors.

Examine checks for endorsements and negotiability, placing appropriate holds when necessary.

Provide members with proper receipts.

Understand and cross‑sell all services offered by the credit union.

Process stop payments on share drafts, ACH, and bill payments.

Give members account status information, including current balances, loan payoffs, and account history.

Accurately complete forms such as card orders, reloads, travel cards, card/check pick‑up, card disputes, and order checks through the core.

Balance daily transactions quickly and accurately throughout the day and during closing, adhering to cash drawer limits.

Demonstrate dependability and teamwork.

Scan member checks through ITC.

Provide member phone, online chat, and email support.

Perform Shared Branching transactions and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Find dividend rates on deposit accounts and direct members to branch locations, business hours, and phone numbers. Navigate the SCCU website and assist members with it.

Courteously respond to member requests or complaints and direct them to the correct person if the answer is unknown.

Participate in and promote the credit union movement.

In addition to the aforementioned duties and responsibilities, any and all duties and responsibilities assigned by management that may be deemed necessary for promotion and continuance of the credit union and are job‑related.
