Food Service Cashier

- Ober is the place to work! The cashier’s role is to ensure that every customer is served in a friendly, professional, and timely manner. This includes greeting customers as they come to the counter, processing customer orders through the POS system, and notifying the kitchen staff of any special requests. Our cashiers are the “face” of our stores as they are the first point of contact and the first impression made to our guests.

Cashiers will process customer transactions, resolve customer issues, and maintain their assigned areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to customers
• Greet all customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
• Record customer orders into the POS system, ensuring each request is accurately entered
• Informing kitchen staff, through the POS system or verbal communication, of customer special requests
• Identify customer issues/complaints and take necessary steps to correct them
• Keep the register station stocked with necessary items
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the work area
• Assist in cleaning/stocking of “customer areas” i.e., guest seating areas and condiment stations
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to multi-task
• Notify management of all customer and POS system issues
• Consistently maintain a balanced drawer
• Must be a team player and able to communicate with fellow employees
• Any other duties as assigned by Food Service Supervisors or Manager
