Catholic Nursery Caregiver

Position Overview

We are seeking part-time Nursery Caregivers to assist in a classical and Catholic classroom for 14 hours per week during the 2026-27 academic year at our center in Nashville, TN. No teaching certification or formal teaching experience is required; we will train you in all necessary skills.

Assist teachers in a Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays, supporting instruction and classroom management in a highly structured environment. Prepare for classes at home and arrive ready to teach. Prepare lesson materials as needed. Provide childcare and nursery support during the scheduled hours (8:15 am – 3:15 pm). Additional support for homeschooling or ministry experience is desirable.

Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church, demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith, and be willing to live the faith day-to-day, including receiving all sacraments appropriate to one's state in life. Strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, and a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship are required. All staff must complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training before teaching.

Hours:

Mondays and Thursdays, 8:15 am – 3:15 pm. Applicants must attend one mandatory training day on August 6, 7, or 8 2026 (8 am – 5 pm). No childcare will be provided on the training day, though nursing babies are always welcome.

Childcare and nursery are provided during teaching hours. No additional vacation days are given; accommodations are made for sick days as needed. All employees are required to maintain a clear background check.
