Assistant Director for Undergraduate Admissions
The Assistant Director for Undergraduate Admissions offers mid-level support and leadership to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, giving particular attention to: student recruitment, order fulfillment, implementation and utilization of the data system and the training and mentoring of newly hired Enrollment Counselors.

Essential
Job Duties:
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the university's data management system including the CRM and SIS, as well as other technology tools utilized by Undergraduate Admissions.
- Serve as a primary source of ongoing training of the Enrollment Counselors in the implementation and effective use of the system.
- In conjunction with the Executive Director for Undergraduate Admissions and the Assistant Vice President for Undergraduate Admissions, assist in facilitating the communication flow to prospective students, including direct mail, electronic communication, and telemarketing programs designed to meet university enrollment goals.
- In conjunction with the Executive Director for Undergraduate Admissions and the Director for Campus Visits, implement prospective student information processing, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
- Provide leadership support to professional and student personnel assigned to these functions.
- Participate in the hiring process, organize the training programs and maintain training manuals for new Enrollment Counselors and student workers in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Serve as an enrollment advisor and the primary contact person for prospective students through the initial admissions, financial aid, and enrollment processes. This will include the initial awarding of scholarship assistance and extensive advising on matters related to financial aid, cost, financial planning, and payment plans.
- Recruit and enroll a pre-determined number of qualified undergraduate students from a well-defined geographical area.
- Conduct on-site visits to high schools and represent Union University at career fairs, college nights and church programs.
- Provide extensive personal follow-up to prospective students and their families through ongoing email, letters and telephone calls. Personal follow-up is essential at each stage of the enrollment process.
- Plan local recruiting receptions for prospective students and their parents to meet with Union University administrators and faculty to discuss issues related to financial planning, academic interests, and the overall enrollment process.
- Coordinate the follow-up procedures necessary to obtain all enrollment forms needed to complete the application process.
- Evaluate Admission files for acceptance and admittance.
- Seek networking opportunities to build relationships that will expand Union's influence in new student markets and strengthen those in existing markets.
- Provide supervision in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions in the absence of the Executive Director for Undergraduate Admissions as needed.

- Assist with other duties as assigned by the Executive Director for Undergraduate Admissions, Director for Campus Visits, and the Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree and relevant work and/or life experience that will result in demonstrated successful recruitment.
- A passion for Christian Higher Education; a strong personal commitment to Christ; a strong work ethic with excellent organization and interpersonal skills; a high degree of initiative and the ability to work well both independently and as a part of a team.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and other office technology is required.
