Position Overview:

Lane College is seeking seasonal adjunct instructors to teach Physical Education courses. This is a part‑time contract with the possibility for renewal. Main responsibility is to teach swimming courses according to departmental need.

• Teach 3–9 hours education-base courses
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and control the classroom.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high‑stress situations.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body.
• Proficient with Blackboard, Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

• Minimum of 18 graduate‑level credit hours in an area that aligns with the program requirements.
• First Aid/CPR/AED and Water Safety Instructor certifications a plus
• Previous college teaching experience is highly encouraged.
• Evidence of teaching potential is essential.
• The ability to life a minimum of 50lb.
• Position may require sitting for extended time, some walking and the ability to climb stair 1% of the time.
