Wall Department Supervisor

Position Summary

Department Supervisor or Area Coordinator responsible for managing and directing the daily activities and resources of all assigned production departments.

• Enforce Heibar's safety culture by adhering to and enforcing the safety stop audit program.
• Participate in safety training meetings as requested for continuous education on new guidelines.
• Conduct routine tool and equipment safety inspection as required.
• Hold team members accountable for violating the company’s safety policy.
• Select, evaluate, and retain department or area team members.
• Communicate significance of the data on Communication Center slides daily during huddles.
• Coach, correct, and counsel team members using the progressive discipline documentation system appropriately.
• Read and check off orders as each unit is built.
• Ensure defects are corrected by root cause analysis.
• Coach team members to prevent and eliminate repeat occurrences.
• Conduct routine material inspections to avoid shortages and building defects.
• Ensure clean department(s) before, during, and after each work day.
• Support ISO
  14001 initiatives (recycling program).
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Leadership capabilities.
• Team oriented.
• Previous construction experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environment desired.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic math skills.
• Detail-oriented and can multi-task effectively.
• Ability to read and understand home building specifications desired.
• Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to adapt quickly and make sound decisions in a changing, fast‑paced work environment.

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person.
• Must be able to exchange accurate information with others.
• Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Work primarily involves sitting/standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
