Job Overview
You will join the Freight Components engineering and digital team, supporting several engineering sites across Europe. As a Functional PLM / Teamcenter Administrator, you will collaborate daily with design engineers, production engineering, CAD administrators, and the global PLM/IT organization to ensure stable, efficient, and standardized PLM operations. Your role will be central for UK-based or US-based engineering teams while interacting with colleagues in France, India, the US, and other Wabtec locations.

You will ensure the reliability, quality, and efficiency of our Teamcenter PLM environment. As part of the Freight Components business, you will support our engineering teams during a major PLM transformation—including data standardization, CAD integration improvements, and multi-site migration from legacy systems (Windchill, Smarteam) to Teamcenter. Your contribution will help secure data integrity, improve engineering workflows, and enable consistent global practices across our organization.
Qualifications- 3–5 years of experience in Teamcenter functional support, administration, or PLM analyst roles.
- Understanding of BMIDE concepts, workflows, queries, datasets, and lifecycle states.
- Ability to open and troubleshoot NX, Creo, or Solid Works assemblies.
- Knowledge of product structure principles (EBOM, CadBOM).
- Experience supporting engineering teams in industrial environments.
- Strong communication skills; ability to guide non-technical users.
- Fluent English (mandatory).
- Experience with data cleaning or multi-CAD environments is a strong plus.
- Applicants should be familiar with Oracle and Power BI.
- Provide daily PLM support to engineering teams in the UK and US.
- Create and maintain Teamcenter queries, troubleshoot user issues, and manage access rights.
- Open and validate CAD models in NX, Solid Works, and Creo to identify missing references or corrupt datasets.
- Clean, correct, and standardize legacy data as part of ongoing multi-site migration activities.
- Support workflows: unblock processes, update statuses, fix lifecycle inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with global PLM architects, CAD admins, and data migration teams.
- Develop and maintain user documentation, best practices, specification and training materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline PLM tools and engineering processes.
This position is primarily office-based within an engineering environment. Occasional presence on the shop floor may be required to support product structure validation, prototype reviews, or engineering discussions. Standard PPE may be required when entering production areas (safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection).
Additional Information- Occasional travel may be required (UK/US).
- This role is on-site 4–5 days per week depending on business needs.
- Need to adapt the working time slot between UK and US (3AM-5PM EST).
