Join a well‑established mining company operating an underground site with stable production and ongoing investment. Safety, quality and continuous improvement are central, and you work directly with the mine manager and technical teams with real autonomy over how the orebody is developed.
What you will be doing- Own underground surveying, mapping and mine planning, using Total Station and CAD tools to deliver accurate short and long term plans
- Lead bore scoping, ground support monitoring and roof control checks, spotting trends early and keeping crews informed of changing ground conditions
- Run regular ventilation surveys and support blast pattern design, ensuring plans align with safety standards, production targets and quality requirements
- Act as step‑up supervisor when needed, support mine supply and reporting routines, and play an active role in site safety and emergency response activities
- Proven individual contributor experience running underground surveys and bore scoping, not just shadowing senior engineers
- Practical exposure to ventilation surveys and blasting in an underground mining environment
- Degree in mining engineering, geology or a related technical discipline, or equivalent underground experience
- Confidence working in demanding underground conditions, with strong analytical skills and the ability to influence operators and supervisors
