We are looking for a Senior Researcher in Photonics & Quantum Technologies to join our team. The main task will be to conduct cutting-edge research on Photonics applied to Sensing and Quantum applications.

The position is located in our office in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, Tenerife (Canary Islands).

• Conduct cutting-edge research on Photonics applied to Sensing and Quantum applications.
• Design, build, and optimize experimental setups within an R&D Photonics laboratory setting.
• Manage and work in projects with small/medium multidisciplinary team, in different research areas and applications with agile methodologies.
• Project proposal preparation, including excellence, impact, planning, task estimation, peer review and writing.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in the field of Photonics, Quantum Sensing and Quantum Information Processing.

• Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with a specialization in Photonics and/or Quantum Technologies.
• Strong background in optoelectronic instrumentation with proven hands‑on experience in designing and building experimental setups.
• Familiarity and interest in prevailing trends in the Photonic Integrated Circuit industry and various technology platforms (such as SOI, SiN, PLC, InP, and hybrids).
• Proven expertise in experimental photonic sensors (experience in quantum sensing experiments using NV centers is highly valued).
• Curiosity and bold attitude to venturing into novel R&D domains and embracing state‑of‑the‑art technologies.
• Strong proficiency in English

We are looking for a senior profile oriented to provide leadership, project management and R&D tasks in photonics and, if possible, quantum sensing, with laboratory experience. If you fit this profile, you're the person we're looking for!
