As a Facilities and Maintenance Lead, you will spearhead the operational efficiency of our manufacturing infrastructure by optimizing equipment reliability and overseeing environmental compliance programs. You will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that our production environment remains safe, compliant, and highly productive.
About the RoleAs a Facilities and Maintenance Lead, you will spearhead the operational efficiency of our manufacturing infrastructure by optimizing equipment reliability and overseeing environmental compliance programs. You will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that our production environment remains safe, compliant, and highly productive.
Responsibilities- Direct maintenance operations to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production throughput.
- Develop and execute comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all manufacturing machinery.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and performance validation of new equipment.
- Manage vendor relationships, including drafting specifications, evaluating bids, and ensuring quality compliance.
- Lead environmental health and safety (EHS) initiatives, including wastewater monitoring, spill prevention, and waste management.
- Maintain rigorous compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations through routine audits and accurate reporting.
- Control departmental budgets and resource allocation to support facility-wide objectives.
- Proven experience in maintenance engineering and environmental management within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive continuous improvement.
- Expertise in managing complex EHS programs, including hazard communication and safety training.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in maintenance engineering.
- Demonstrated success in project management and facility infrastructure upgrades.
- BS degree in Engineering;
Master’s degree is highly valued. - Advanced training in team dynamics, facilitation, and root-cause analysis.
